Opening Words

from the first chapter of each book:
Coin with two six-fingered dragons

BEWARE of a stranger who leads you under a bridge over which you have already passed. Never carry a knot if you don’t know who tied it. Remember that not all tangles are tangled by chance. Do not trust crows. And, if you go on a journey, never pay your fare with a coin that has a hole in the middle—unless, of course, you already know where you are going.
